By now we shouldn’t be surprised by the eccentric and expensive models the Paris based luxury fashion house Balenciaga has, but this time the brand went a little bit over the line with the announcement of their new PARIS SNEAKER collection.
We are talking about sneakers for men and women that look like they just came back from a “Survivor” episode. Some models look totally destroyed, but according to Balenciaga, it is to suggest that the Paris Sneaker is “meant to be worn for a lifetime.”
Prices of these shoes range between $650 to $1850 dlls and some have a limited edition of 100 pairs.
Although the marketing campaign used some exaggerated dramatization of extreme wear shoes, the impact of these images caused internauts to look for these sneakers achieving the goal of promoting the collection. Genius!
The Paris Sneaker collection will be available online starting May 9th in Europe, May 16 United States and Middle East stores and Japan on May 23. Later the shoes will be released worldwide.
