During one of his small residency’s shows in Las Vegas on July 1st, the Manchester singer performed new track “Bonfire of Teenagers” that had a clear message to another Manchester band, Oasis, in reference to one of their 90’s hits “Don’t Look Back In Anger“.

Prior performing the song, Moz told the crowd “This song is new, it’s about England’s 9/11. Obviously in jolly old England, most people won’t talk about it… but, I will!

This in reference to the suicide bomb attack that occurred on May 22, 2017 while people was leaving the arena after a concert of singer Ariana Grande and caused the death of 23 people, including the attacker, and hundreds more injured.

And the silly people sing 'Don’t Look Back in Anger'

It was weeks after the attack that “One Love Manchester” music event organized by the same Ariana Grande took place in Manchester. This concert gathered different artists, including Liam Gallagher were he performed “Don’t Look Back In Anger”

And in a very direct reference to this, “Bonfire Of Teenagers” songs says “And the silly people sing ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, And the morons sing and sway: ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, I can assure you I will look back in anger ’till the day I die!.”

What do you think, did he went too far or it is just Morrissey being Morrissey? So far, nothing has been declared from the Gallagher’s brothers side.

Here is the video of the debut of “Bonfire Of Teenagers” in Las Vegas residency shared by a fan.
