After visiting different cities in the old continent, such as Barcelona, Zaragoza and Madrid in Spain, Paris in France, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Cologne in Germany, Brussels in Belgium and with a last stop of their European tour in London, UK last night, the band is now flying back to Mexico City were the band will start recharging batteries to begin the second leg of their tour that will include cities in Colombia, México and the USA.

London - Brixton's Academy

Café Tacvba returned to London for the 4th time on their career. We’ve been fortunate to be there every single one: on May 2008 and July 2009, promoting their 6th album “Sino” and then on July 2018, promoting their 8th record “Jei Beibi”. On each occasion they’ve played on iconic London stages: The Barbican, a concert hall with great acoustics, the Kentish Forum (Radiohead, Oasis, David Bowie), Shepherd’s Bush Empire (Björk, Amy Winehouse) and now at Brixton’s Academy, where The Smiths played their last performance, among many others.

A queue of several hundred people started before doors opened at 7 pm. It was a rainy day and in another part of London The Queen was arriving for her funeral. There was no opening band, only a DJ who played the greatest hits of “Rock en Español” to the delight of the crowd. Then, at 8:30 pm, right on time, “Los Tacubos” came out to the familiar sounds of “Seguir Siendo”, followed by “Tengo Todo”.

A good 18 songs followed, keeping the audience singing and jumping the entire time. They closed the first pet of the show with “La chica banda” and came out a few minutes later with a 3-song Encore of “Eres”, “Quiero ver” and “El baile y el salón“.

Zaragoza - Spain

After the lights came on, the band came back out to thank the public and Meme (keyboards) got off the stage to take selfies with the fans.

Paris - France

This was the last show of their European tour, which saw them visiting 8 cities over two weeks in Spain, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK.

Next up is Colombia and then back to Mexico and the US to cover a further 28 dates that will take them all the way to February 2023!

Hope you enjoy images from different cities of this tour… Y que siga el taconazo!

Amsterdam - Netherlands

Cologne - Germany
