Yesterday was the end of a great festival that heated the souls at The Woodlands in Dover, DE
It was a total of 4 days were fans enjoyed to the max a huge variety of music styles at the same place.
With powerful headliners, Firefly Music Festival celebrated their tenth edition and for this special occasion they brought Halsey, My Chemical Romance, Green Day and to close this event, Due Lipa. But also, other great names such as Jamie XX, Jungle, Weezer, Big Sean, Avril Lavigne, Porter Robinson and Haim just to mention a few.
Thursday - Halsey
The festival kicked off with an amazing presentation with headliner Halsey that included songs such as “Nightmare”, “Castle”, “The Lighthouse”, “Gasoline”, Kate’s Bush cover “Running Up That Hill” and to finish “Without Me”
Other great shows that happened on Thursday was Jamie XX, Jungle with their unique and special way to keep everyone dancing, Willow, 100 Gecs, San Holo and and Gayle just to mention a few.
Friday - My Chemical Romance
On Friday, the vibe was tending to be full of energy with the exciting reunion of second headliner My Chemical Romance. Their show contained a total of 17 songs that included songs such as “The Foundations Of Decay”, “Boy Division”, “Helena”, “Teenagers”, “Famous Last Words” and to finish their set “The Kids From Yesterday”.
Others great bands from day two were Weezer, that played songs such as “Undone – The Sweater Song”, “Teenage Dirtbag” cover from Wheatus, ‘Africa” from Toto, “Say It Ain’t So” and to the end, “Buddy Holly”.
Another special presentation attendees were excited to see was Avril Lavigne. Her show included songs “Complicated”, “My Happy Ending”, “All The Small Things” from Blink-182, “Sk8er Boi”, and to finish her awesome show, “I’m With You”.
Saturday - Green Day
For the third day of Firefly Festival, an older crowd was visible having Green Day as headliners that day. The guys from California played a full set of great hits that included “American Idiot”, “Holiday”, “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams”, “When I Come Around’, “Minority”, “Basket Case”, “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and a emotional end with “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)”. Fan or not fan, their set list was a killer one.
Different stages had other great presentations like Porter Robinson, The Head And The Heart, Bleachers, Yungblud, and Wolf Alice. At The Backyard stage some other amazing sets from Haim, Isaiah Rashad, Princess Nokia, Benny The Butcher, to mention just a few.
Sunday - Due Lipa
With some weather adversities due to storms in the area and the risk of day four not happening, the show continued with a delay and luckily for everyone the presentation of Dua Lipa and others great bands did happen.
Dua Lipa show included a total of 17 songs such as “Physical”, “New Rules”, “Break My Heart”, “One Kiss”, “Hallucinate”, huge cover hit with Elton John “Cold Heart”, “Levitating” and for the end, “Don’t Start Now”.
During the day before the amazing performance of Dua Lipa, the attendees were able to enjoy shows from The Kid Laroi, Gryffin, Charlie XCX, Conan Gray, T-Pain, Girl Talk, among others.
During the whole weekend, attendees were able to enjoy the performance of great DJ sets at “The Nest” stage from artists like Wenzday, Speaker Honey, Teddy Beats, Wreckno, Heyz, Disco Lines, Doss, Canabliss, Golf Clap, Amyelle, Kyle Kinch, and others.
We are pretty sure next year will be as great as this 10th edition was and can’t wait for that!
