There are great concerts in the city, and then there is Grupo Firme!
You might not like this kind of music and maybe, just maybe this is not the style you would think it is for you, but, regardless of you music taste and whatever people tell you about Grupo Firme, these guys really know how to throw a great show!
The band from Tijuana, MX stoped at our city this Saturday at the Alamodome and we were there to bring you what we experienced and photos of their amazing performance in front of a sold-out show with 37,000 fans.
Early show in case things go wild!
The doors opened at 7:00pm and by 7:45 PM the opening act started with band Siempre Firme which is the group of musicians that supports Grupo Firme in the back.
And it was at 8:45pm sharp when the band from Tijuana put a foot on stage to start their show. You could think this is a little early for a big show but what you don’t know is that Eduin and Johnny Caz and company can perform for more than 4 hours if they feel like doing it.
One hit after another
Once the lights went down, the whole Alamodome turned into a pandemonium and the party started. “El Amor No Fue Pa’ Mi”, “Juro Por Dios”, “Pídeme”, and “Efectos Del Alcohol” were some of the first songs the band played to start warming engines, but it was during the performance of “En Tu Perra Vida” were things got wild.
You could barely hear the band playing with a full Alamodome singing their lungs out!
Followed by “Tusa” cover of Karol-G and “El Toxico” there was no doubt their fans were having a great time.
The band is joined on stage by a group of around 20 dancers that bring more fun and variety to the show.
And as mentioned before, they are also joined by Siempre Firme band that is formed by another 20 musicians to assure the sound of the band is impecable.
!Ya, Supérame!
The night continued with so many great songs and so much fun since Grupo Firme keeps interacting with the crowd nonstop. They keep passing bottles of whiskey among the band members to drink while on the big screens they start asking people to drink with their “Shot Cam”.
Running from one side to another, dancing, joking with the crowd, fireworks on stage, great production and lighting is hard not to enjoy the show.
And of course, the great songs they have is a guarantee their thousands of fans will have a great night.
But, it was with one of their best hits that made the whole stadium shake, “!Ya, Supérame!” were Eduin Caz performed the song on top of a high column in the center of stage.
