Venezuelan sensation made a stop in the Alamo City!

Last night, The Aztec Theatre hosted Venezuelan’s urban singer and producer Danny Ocean, who performed in front of a sold out show as part of his 16-city @dannocean2023 US tour.

The doors opened at 7:00pm and it didn’t take long for the fans to fill up the floor. The audience was ready to start dancing and singing along to Ocean’s music. A QR Code with Danny Ocean’s name appeared on-screen that would take the fans to a website that would display a random fact about Danny Ocean or a photo of him.

A tape with an intro song started playing and musicians started walking onto the stage. A few seconds later, a roaring crowd received Danny Ocean who started the show with his hit song “Dembow”.

The show continued with a couple of songs from his first album “54+1” such as “Veneno”, and“Babylon Girl”.

Before singing “Volare”, another QR code appeared on screen. He paused his show for a minute and talked about how refugees are in a great need of help and how our support can make a huge impact. After this, he invited the audience to scan the QR code and donate to the UN’s Refugee Association.

I Love You (ASL)

The night continued with some of his collaborations like “Detente”, “Mónaco”, “Brisa”, and “Miedito o Qué?”; the latest being one of his most popular ones with Ovy on The Drums and Karol G.

After these songs he took a break to talk to the fans; then he proceeded to introduce “Fuera del Mercado”, a track from his latest album. He raised his hand and signed “I Love You” in ASL (American Sign Language) a touching moment in which the crowd joined him, right before starting the song.

The last part of the show started with Danny playing a slow intro on piano for “Epa Wei”; when the full song started playing, his band joined him to dance along on stage. After this, he played an acoustic version of “Swing”, which was a very intimate experience for him to connect with the audience

Before the end of the night, Ocean thanked the fans for being there and supporting him all throughout his career. He introduced his top-hit “Me Rehúso”, a song that he wrote as a valentine’s day gift, but quickly became popular in latin america. Fans sang and danced along, making this night an unforgettable one.
