The three Garza brothers gave an incredible show!
We were lucky enough to live another sold out event at The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio last night with the amazing performance of two bands from Texas, Giovannie & The Hired Guns and Los Lonely Boys.
It was a night full of great guitars riffs, drum beats and amazing voices from both bands that pleased the thousands of fans who gathered to see them live.
And, for almost 3 hours, the people happily sang along so many great songs and we were there to bring you here what we experienced on a Friday night in the Alamo city.
Giovannie & The Hired Guns
Giovannie and gang didn’t wait to warm the engines when they came out on stage, the band started with powerful songs such as “Bad Habits“, “Run Away” and “Pretend“.
Giovanni’s Yanez voice is amazing and it transmits an incredible vibe to the crowd. The riffs from guitarists Carlos Villa and Jerrod Flush are spectacular, the way they play together is awesome. And together with Alex Trejo in bass and Milton Toles in drums the band sounds solid as a rock. Great songs and fans love the interaction they always have during their shows.
But of course, songs “Overrated“, cover from Ramon Ayala “Tragos Amargos” and “Ramon Ayala” got a great response from the crowd and everybody was singing along with the band.
Los Lonely Boys
Straight from San Angelo, TX, brothers Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza came out on stage a little bit after 9pm where an anxious crowd was waiting for them.
The rock power trio formed in the 1990s are dearly loved in San Antonio and it was no surprise this show went sold-out quickly.
Friday’s show started with song “Cottonfields And Crossroads” were guitarist Henry showed his impressive skills with the guitar. That Fender Stratocaster really sounded incredible! Followed by “Born On The Bayou” and “Roses“
After being absent from stages for a really long time, to what Jojo called it a “sabbatic year”, after he left the band for a couple of years, they feel they have resurrected and happy to be back together.
We could see how the band really enjoy playing live. The interaction between the brothers on stage and with the crows is very visible. They do make feel the fans special during the show.
The night continued with some great songs such as “Don’t Walk Away“, “Give A Little More“, “More Than Love” but of course the song everybody was waiting for was the last piece of the show, their first debut single from 2004 “Heaven“.
Los Lonely Boys will continue touring for a few more months and there are no news about new music or official tour. But in the meantime, we are very happy we got to see them live again last night.
