Their Physical Thrills tour will finish in Texas
As part of their tour to promote their latest album “Physical Thrills“, the Silversun Pickups delivered a memorable and unforgettable experience with their unique sound, passionate performances, and a dedicated fan base who gathered at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio last night.
The stage was shared with Paris Jackson who has been releasing singles in the last months, besides her album “Wilted” from 2020.
It was a great show on a Friday night in the Alamo city and we were there to share with you what we experienced.
PARIS JACKSON
Yes, she might be the daughter of the “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson, but Paris’ music is on totally opposite poles to her late father.
Her music is full of good guitar riffs, powerful drum beats, and a great voice! A style more inclined to the grunge/indie vibe.
Paris started her show with one of the released singles “Lighthouse“, followed by “Sirens“, “Just You” and “PK Story“.
The 24-year model, actress, and singer mentioned it was her first time in Texas and she was excited of being part of this tour in the state.
Her performance continued with songs “Marcus“, “Bandaid“, “The Stain“, a cover from Blind Melon “No Rain” and to finish her show, “Something“.
SILVERSUN PICKUPS
It was a little after 9 PM when lights came down and Brian Aubert on vocals, Nikki Monninger on bass, Christopher Guanlao on drums, and Joe Lester on keyboards appeared on stage.
Under an incandescent red light, the native Los Angeles band started the night with “Stillness (Way Beyond?“, “Sticks and Stones“, and “Well Thought Out Twinkles“.
The night continued with “It Doesn’t Matter Why” but when the bass riff of “Panic Switch” started, the audiance really got super excited.
Followed by “Scared Together“, “The Royal We Alone on a Hill” and “Kissing Families” the Silversun Pickups kept performing to the crowd that never stop singing along with the band.
The band performed for almost 2 hours with a total of 18 songs, but of course, the audience was anxiously waiting for the song they left for the end of the show, their 2006 hit “Lazy Eyes“.
Everyone with their phones up started recording and singing.
It was an awesome night with these 2 great bands that luckily for us, San Antonio was included in the tour.
