Last minute changes that brought more great acts!
After the not-very-pleasant performance during Frank Ocean’s Coachella appearance on Weekend 1, due to an ankle injury that led to last-minute stage and production changes, the singer canceled his show for Weekend 2 in response to medical advice due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg and the name of the band to replace him that was circulating everywhere has been revealed, Blink-182!
But, not only the band will be added on Sunday… Skrillex, Four Tet, and Fred Again.. were also added to the lineup to close the last day of the festival.
Blink-182, with the classic line-up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker, had a special appearance last weekend with just a 48 hrs. announcement prior to their show at the Sahara stage and it was one of the best highlights of Coachella 2023 on Weekend 1.
But now, with this last-minute change, the festival will return to have a rock band as part of the headliners, something many have been requesting for so many years. The last time we saw rock bands as headliners at Coachella was in 2015 with AC/DC and in 2016 with Guns N’ Roses.
