A day full of Girl power!
We were back at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA for day number two of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2023 and the desert welcomed us with a very hot weather!
But, we had to stay positive because the lineup for Saturday was incredible! Many of the bands we were planning on seeing were one after the other, so, the running from one stage to another was inevitable.
Something we love was seeing the number of bands led by women on stage, such as The Linda Lindas, Bratty, Charli XCX, Rosalía, Sofi Tukker and Blackpink.
One of the bands we really enjoyed during the second day of the festival was Sofi Tukker. Sophie and Tucker rocked the stage at Coachella 2023 with their amazing vocals and beats. They played some of her hits like “Purple Hat”, “Drinkee” and “Best Friend”.
I also had the privilege of witnessing Boygenius live at Coachella 2023 and it was an unforgettable experience. The indie supergroup composed of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus delivered a stunning performance that showcased their harmonies, emotions and talents. They played songs such as “Without You Without Them”, $20”, “Satanist”, “Anti-Curse”, and “Salt In The Wound” to the thousands of fans who gathered to see them.
Another artist that blew us away was Rosalía. She is one of my favorite singers ever, and she did not disappoint. She brought her unique blend of flamenco and pop to Coachella, and she had everyone dancing and singing along. She performed songs such as “Saoko”, “Bizcochito”, “La Noche De Anoche”, Despechá” and “Motomami”.
Puerto Rican singer Eladio Carrión made the crowd dance and sing with his hits “Flores En Anónimo”, “Sin Frenos”, “Kemba Walker”, and “Cuevita”. Keep an eye on this urban rapper, his shows are full of great songs and energy!
The highlight of Day 2 for me was definitely seeing Blackpink perform live for the first time in North America. They are such queens, I can’t even describe how awesome they are. They sang all their hits, from “Pink Venom”, to “Kill This Love”, and of course “How You Like That” and “Pretty Savage”.
They had amazing choreography, outfits, and stage presence. They also interacted with the crowd a lot, and they even spoke some English. They are so sweet and talented, I love them so much.
Let’s see what Day 3 brings us all to close the final day of Coachella 2023!
