THUNDERCAT

The clock was showing 9:00 PM when Stephen Lee Bruner, known by his stage name Thundercat, appeared in front of the crowd below a huge inflatable Thundercats cartoon figure. Bruner is a big fan of anime and cartoons, and his stage name was taken from the 1985 cartoon series Thundercats.

From the moment he took the stage, his magnetic stage presence and quirky charm captured the hearts of the crowd. Armed with his signature six-string bass, he effortlessly navigated intricate melodies and mind-bending basslines, displaying his extraordinary dexterity and mastery of the instrument. His falsetto vocals were equally awe-inspiring, adding an ethereal layer to his performance.

The virtuoso bassist and singer who has collaborated with other big names such as Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Gorillaz and Tame Impala, brought his unique blend of funk, soul, and jazz to the stage. With his trademark six-string bass in hand, he showcased unparalleled musicianship. His fingers danced across the strings, producing intricate and hypnotic melodies that seemed to effortlessly flow through the night. The audience swayed and grooved to his irresistible basslines, and Thundercat’s signature falsetto vocals soared with ethereal grace.
