Get ready, Texas! Odisseo is coming!
After selling out iconic venues like the Auditorio Nacional and two nights at the Teatro Metropolitan, Odisseo—one of the most acclaimed Spanish-language alternative rock bands—takes a decisive step in its international expansion with the announcement of its first U.S. tour: “Tormentas Inesperadas.” The tour, named after the band’s most recent album, began last year alongside the album’s release, marking a period of artistic consolidation and global growth. It will conclude triumphantly on November 1st with the band’s long-awaited return to the Auditorio Nacional.
With a sound that has redefined the genre in Latin America, the Mexican quintet will bring their lyrical intensity and commanding live presence to key venues in Chicago, Austin, Dallas, McAllen, and Los Angeles this September, on a tour produced by MATS Agency.
With a proven track record and a steadily growing fan base, Odisseo now crosses the border to connect with audiences through a series of intimate yet electrifying performances. This tour signals a new era for the band, carrying their music—deep, melancholic, and visceral—to new heights.
With a performance that fuses new wave influences, romantic ballads, and the band’s signature lyrical intensity, Odisseo promises an unforgettable show in every city. The tour will act as a bridge between their devoted Latin American audience and the growing Latino community in the U.S., which has closely followed the band’s sonic evolution.

THE INTERVIEW!
Here is the English transcript of Rebbeca Niebla’s great interview with ODISSEO! You can also enjoy this on our YouTube Channel. The link is at the bottom of this article.
THS: Tell us, how does the band feel about this announced tour and coming to Texas for the first time?
Odisseo: We’re very excited to expand our career into another country. On a personal level, it feels incredible that our music can resonate so far beyond our home. We can already feel the energy and euphoria of the Latino audience that connects with our songs.
THS: Over the years, your fan base has grown. What does it mean to bring your music to major U.S. cities?
Odisseo: It feels a bit like carrying Mexico’s banner with us. We’re Latinos, and while there are many Latinos in the U.S., the fact that our music can cross borders and still stand out is truly impressive. Very few projects achieve that, and we’re proud to be part of it.
THS: Many fans compare your style to Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Adam Levine of Maroon 5. What do you think about those comparisons, and who are your influences as a frontman?
Odisseo: It’s funny, I never try to imitate those great artists. If there’s someone I connect with the most, it’s Sandro de América—the way he carried this almost theatrical vibe. What I really love is the connection with the audience. That feeling when people are singing along, so many voices gathered together, all on the same song—that’s a beautiful synergy between the band and the audience. It’s something that goes way beyond listening to a record at home or in your car. The experience of a live concert will never be matched.
THS: TikTok and other platforms have brought you closer to new audiences. How do you see this new digital era, and what has been the most surprising thing that has happened with the social media community?
Odisseo: For us, the fact that our music is being shared on these platforms has been a phenomenon. When we first got on TikTok, our songs didn’t really have the hooks you’d expect for trending dances. But somehow, kids 15 and under found ways to make our music fit—and it’s usually the heartbreak songs that transcend the most. That’s something I’ll probably never fully understand. TikTok has connected us to audiences we never could have reached on our own.
THS: How are you preparing with visuals and production for the U.S. dates?
Odisseo: It’s a smaller format—we can’t bring everything we use in Mexico—but it’s still something that looks great. We’re not into screens; we like shows the old-school way, where the lights make the performance shine and move in sync with the rhythm. Plus, we’ve been playing non-stop, so we’re in great shape. We’re ready for the U.S.
THS: Regarding the recent passing of Ozzy Osbourne, what does Black Sabbath’s legacy mean to you as musicians within rock? What did it leave with Odisseo?
Odisseo: Even though we’re not a band that grew up with metal, it’s still a huge reference point—a pillar. My dad listened to it, I still listen to it, and maybe my nephew will too. Ozzy made songs that truly mean something, songs that carry a legacy. Much respect to Ozzy Osbourne!
Thank you, ODISSEO, for your time! We can’t wait to see you in Texas!
