María Zardoya is stepping into a new world — and she’s inviting us to meet her there.
Best known as the magnetic frontwoman of The Marías, María has announced her solo project Not For Radio, describing it as “my alternate reality. I wanted to explore on my own what it meant to love and to lose…”
Where The Marías have always existed in a dreamy, cinematic haze, Not For Radio feels even more intimate — like stepping into the quiet room just behind the curtain. It’s personal, raw, and intentionally unpolished in a way that makes every word land a little closer to the heart. This is María writing without the band as a frame, letting vulnerability become its own atmosphere.
To bring this new dimension to life, she also announced Winter in the Garden, a Theatre Tour, a series of curated, immersive performances set in intimate venues. The tour comes to The Tobin Center For The Performing Arts in San Antonio, TX on January 18 & 19, offering fans a rare chance to witness this evolution up close.
It’s not just a new chapter — it feels like the beginning of a diary we weren’t supposed to read, but now can’t look away from.
