Just Announced: THE SMASHING PUMPKINS are coming to Texas!
The Smashing Pumpkins are bringing The Rats in a Cage Tour to Texas this fall.
The newly announced tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the legendary 1995 double album that gave us songs like “1979,” “Tonight, Tonight,” “Bullet with Butterfly Wings,” and “Zero.”
As part of the tour, the band will stop at Moody Center in Austin, TX, on October 25, giving Texas fans the chance to revisit one of alternative rock’s most important records live.
Even three decades later, Mellon Collie still feels massive. Emotional, noisy, dreamy, angry, weird, and beautiful all at once. It’s one of those albums that shaped an entire generation of rock fans and still connects with younger listeners discovering it for the first time.
