A colorful night where parents and kids shared the dance floor!

Who says you have to wait until you’re older to enjoy a rave? Last night, the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio welcomed a very different kind of party, one where glow-worthy colors, electronic beats, confetti, and nursery rhymes took over the room.

Lenny Pearce brought his Toddler Rave World Tour to town, and the audience was a little different from what you’d normally expect at an electronic music show. Parents arrived with their little ones, some barely old enough to walk, while others were already ready to dance. There were kids everywhere, looking around with excitement as the music started and the lights filled the stage.

And this wasn’t going to be a quiet afternoon of children’s entertainment. The bass was loud, the beats were fast, and the atmosphere felt like a proper EDM party, just with a much younger crowd.

From the first moments, there were screams, cheers, little feet moving, and plenty of parents joining in. It was clear that everyone was there to have fun, and Lenny had quite a party planned for San Antonio.

TODDLER RAVE WORLD TOUR

If you’ve ever wondered what “Baby Shark” would sound like at a techno party, Lenny Pearce has the answer. The Australian DJ and producer has found a fun way to bring electronic dance music into the world of children’s entertainment, turning familiar songs into high-energy remixes that get both kids and parents moving.

His set at the Aztec Theatre was fast-paced, colorful, and full of surprises. Instead of traditional children’s music arrangements, the songs came with heavy bass, electronic beats, and drops that wouldn’t feel out of place at a regular EDM show. The difference? The lyrics were ones almost every parent in the room already knew.

The setlist included “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “If You’re Happy And You Know It,” “Macarena,” “Open Shut Them,” and “5 Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed.” There was also “Baby Shark,” which naturally got plenty of attention, along with “5 Little Ducks,” “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” “Humpty Dumpty,” and “Hot Little Bunnies.”

One of the best things about watching Lenny perform was seeing how easily he kept the little ones engaged. He understood his audience, knew when to bring up the energy, and kept the music moving. There wasn’t much time to stand around before another familiar melody came through the speakers.

The stage also had its share of surprises. A giant duck named Bubbles showed up dancing, while costumed characters Kuma the Monkey and The Drumheads joined the fun. Add neon colors, confetti, and plenty of cheering, and you had a show that kept giving the kids something new to look at.

Lenny wasn’t simply playing children’s songs. He was giving them a completely different setting, and judging by the smiles and dancing around the venue, the idea worked.

BIG BEATS, LITTLE DANCERS

What made this show particularly fun was watching the parents get into it just as much as their kids. Some were dancing alongside their little ones, others were recording every moment on their phones, and plenty were singing along to songs they’ve probably heard hundreds of times at home.

The combination of familiar nursery rhymes and club-style production made the whole experience feel a little unexpected. You could hear the heavy bass drops while watching toddlers dance to “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” It’s not exactly something you see every day at the Aztec Theatre!

And that’s really the appeal of the Toddler Rave. It gives families a chance to enjoy live music together without having to leave the kids out of the experience. Everyone gets to participate, whether they’re dancing near the stage, jumping around with friends, or enjoying the show from their parents’ arms.

FROM DJ BOOTHS TO TODDLER TECHNO

Originally from Australia, Lenny Pearce has built a distinctive place in electronic music by creating a sound that brings together two worlds that don’t usually meet: dance music and children’s entertainment.

Known as a pioneer of Toddler Techno, Lenny takes familiar nursery rhymes and children’s songs and transforms them into electronic dance tracks with fast beats, bass drops, and club-inspired production. The idea is simple but pretty clever: give younger audiences their own version of a rave while making it something parents can enjoy too.

Rather than treating children’s music as something that needs to stay simple, Lenny approaches it like a DJ set, with energy, rhythm, and plenty of interaction.

His Toddler Rave World Tour takes that concept beyond recordings and into live venues, bringing families together for an electronic music experience designed for all ages.

And after seeing the San Antonio crowd, it’s easy to understand why the concept connects. Sometimes all it takes is a familiar song, a good beat, and a little confetti to get everyone dancing.

There aren’t many concerts where you leave thinking about how much fun the audience had before anything else. But that’s exactly what made Lenny Pearce’s stop at the Aztec Theatre different.

The kids got their dance party, the parents got to enjoy some electronic music, and everyone shared an experience that was a little outside the usual family outing. Between the techno versions of childhood favorites, the giant duck DJ, Kuma the Monkey, The Drumheads, and all that confetti, there was never a shortage of things happening.

It was also nice to see a venue like the Aztec filled with families introducing their little ones to the excitement of live music.

If this show proved anything, it’s that you don’t need to know how to pronounce techno, understand a DJ set, or even be able to walk properly to enjoy a rave.

San Antonio’s youngest ravers showed up, and they definitely knew how to party!
