From Bogotá and Caracas to The Espee!
This Sunday, August 31, 2025, San Antonio will welcome a musical experiment that’s already reshaping the Latin alternative landscape. Astropical, the supergroup formed by Colombia’s Bomba Estéreo and Venezuela’s Rawayana, will arrive at The Espee for a night that promises to be as vibrant as it is unclassifiable.
Launched earlier this year with their self-titled debut album, Astropical is more than a collaboration — it’s a cultural fusion. The project pulls from Bomba Estéreo’s electro-cumbia fire and Rawayana’s tropical pop groove, fusing them into a kaleidoscopic sound that moves between psychedelic textures, dance-floor beats, and ancestral rhythms.
The upcoming show will also feature special guest Yendry, whose dynamic voice bridges the worlds of R&B, Afro-Caribbean, and electronic pop. Her presence adds another dimension to Astropical’s mission: celebrating pan-Latin identity by blending styles, borders, and generations into one collective voice.
For San Antonio, the show is a rare chance to see two giants of Latin alternative not just sharing a stage but creating something entirely new together. It’s a celebration of culture in motion, a reminder that Latin music isn’t confined to one sound or rhythm — it’s a living, evolving force.
On Sunday night, The Espee will transform into a crossroads of Bogotá, Caracas, and beyond. Expect color. Expect rhythm. And most of all, expect a night that leaves you hearing Latin music in a brand-new way.
