Great music, great beer, and great food in one place!

San Antonio is gearing up to host one of the most exciting rock festivals of the year on Saturday, April 8th from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am at the Alamo Beer Company under the Hays Street Bridge.

Joe Coronado, the creator of Chancla Academy, is responsible for organizing this incredible event!

The Chancla Academy Rock Festival promises to be more than just a massive rock show; it’s an opportunity to embrace community, culture, and up-and-coming artists while reviving the rock scene in San Antonio. The festival will feature two stages of local music, vendors, food trucks, and much more.

This means providing a platform for up-and-coming bands to showcase their talent and connect with their audience, but also inviting national acts to participate and promote diversity.

Upon a Burning Body

One of the biggest names in the festival’s diverse lineup is Upon a Burning Body, a popular metalcore band from San Antonio, TX that has been making waves in the rock scene for years. Their high-energy performances and heavy-hitting music are sure to get the crowd at the festival pumped up and ready to rock. But Upon a Burning Body is just one of many incredible acts that will be taking the stage at the Chancla Academy Rock Festival. With a range of rock subgenres on offer, from punk to alternative to metal, there’s something for everyone at this festival. And with vendors, food trucks, and other local businesses setting up shop under the Hays Street Bridge, the festival is not just about music – it’s also a great opportunity to support the local community.

The festival will feature a wide variety of vendors, from food trucks to local artisans, creating a space for fans to explore and engage with the vibrant culture of San Antonio, creating a lasting impact on the community. Joe Coronado’s passion for rock music and the San Antonio music scene is evident in the festival’s design. The Chancla Academy Rock Festival is intended to embrace artist culture and create an opportunity for local artists to connect with fans and revive the rock scene in San Antonio. By providing a platform for up-and-coming artists, the festival aims to support and elevate the local music scene, encouraging the growth of the city’s creative industries.

JOE CORONADO

Joe Coronado’s passion for creating the Chancla Academy Rock Festival goes deeper than just a love for rock music and a desire to support the San Antonio music scene. His personal experience with not being given the opportunity to showcase his own skills in the past is what inspired him to create a festival that would give up-and-coming artists and small businesses the chance to shine. In creating the Chancla Academy Rock Festival, Joe is not only fulfilling his own dreams but also giving back to the community that has supported him throughout his journey. He hopes that the festival will become an annual event that will continue to support local businesses and artists for years to come and create a legacy that will forever change the face of the San Antonio music scene.
