A night full of powerful energy!
Coheed and Cambria, a band from New York, continued their second leg of their tour, “Neverender: No World for the Waking Mind” at The Aztec Theater in San Antonio, Texas together with anotger great band, Deafheaven, giving us an exciting show, and what a night it was!
The band Coheed And Cambria gave the eager crowd a little taste of the night by singing an acoustic cover of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, about 35 minutes before the opening band DeafHeaven entered the stage. Fans of all ages shouted in excitement not expecting Claudio Sanchez, Josh Eppard, Zach Cooper and Travis Stever to have entered early.
DEAFHEAVEN
Deafheaven, originally from San Francisco, came with their American post-metal touch as the opening act. Maintaining their energy with dim lights, along George Clarke with his impressive and unmistakable voice, placing the audience in an otherworldly atmosphere, all while matching each other’s energies.
The band performed some of their classic songs such as “Dream House”, “Sunbather”, “Canary Yellow” and “Mombasa”.
Deafheaven left the crowd warm and ready for the night’s main act!
COHEE AND CAMBRIA
After a 15-minute break from Deafheaven’s performance, Coheed And Cambria’s Sanchez’s vocals ignited the audience, easily switching from melodic to powerful tones, striking his guitar. Playing intricate riffs that added plenty of emotion throughout the night, and in sync with the rest of the band members.
The show started with songs “The Reaping”, “No World For Tomorrow” and “The Hound” making a connection with the crowd immediately!
The visuals and colorful lights emphasized their jumps and head-bopping.
Eppard, thunderously playing on drums, Cooper on deep Bass guitar and Stever on brilliant electric guitar.
Fans from all ages threw their hands in the air as they gestured the “rock on” hand symbol, towards the middle of their set, some had begun to crowd surf towards barricade.
The night continued with more great songs such as “Radio Bye Bye”, “End Complete”, “The Road” and “On the Brink” making the audience go wild!
A show that was dark, heavy, and intense, and that lasted for almost 2 hours.
The crowd was happy to see them live and after an incredible performance the band thanked everyone for their support before saying goodbye by playing song “Ladders Of Supremacy”.
