A night of memorable reunions!
As the sun dipped below the horizon on the second day of the Power Trip Festival, the anticipation in the air was palpable. With the promise of two legendary rock bands, Judas Priest and AC/DC, headlining the night, expectations were sky-high. And boy, did they deliver.
The crowd’s energy was contagious, with fans of all ages singing along and headbanging in unison. It was a testament to the enduring appeal of these rock legends, bridging generations with their music.
What made the night even more special was the sense of nostalgia that permeated the festival grounds. Many in attendance grew up listening to Judas Priest and AC/DC, and seeing these bands live was a dream come true. It was a night of pure rock ‘n’ roll magic, where the music transcended time and space, uniting fans in a collective celebration of the power of rock.
JUDAS PRIEST
Judas Priest, the quintessential heavy metal pioneers, took the stage first, and from the moment Rob Halford, clad in his signature leather attire, let out his first ear-piercing scream, the crowd was transported to a sonic realm of pure metal euphoria.
Their setlist was a masterclass in the genre, featuring classics like “Breaking the Law,” “Painkiller,” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin'” and “Turbo Lover”.
Halford’s vocal prowess was jaw-dropping, proving that age has only enhanced his vocal range.
A special moment for everyone to see was the presence on stage of guitarist Glenn Tipton who retired back in 2018 due to Parkinson’s disease.
Judas Priest still reign supreme in the metal kingdom.
