Two great bands from Austin in town.
Once again, the Stable Hall in San Antonio, TX was the host of another incredible sold-out show.
Yesterday was the kick-off of their 20-date US tour and the first of two nights of the Black Pumas with guest Greyhounds in town and it was just amazing!
Both bands brought hours of soul, funk, rock and R&B to an audience that arrived very early to the venue to get a better spot to enjoy their music and they didn’t disappoint.
Knowing this was a show we couldn’t miss, we prepared our gear and drove to the Stable Hall to bring you photos and tell you what we experienced.
GREYHOUNDS
The night started with the great Greyhounds formed by Andrew Trube on guitar and keyboardist Anthony Farrell who are joined on stage by amazing musicians.
Their soul and funk music connected right away with the audience who enjoyed their performance and masterful musicianship. Each song was a testament to their talent, delivered with passion and precision
As the final notes faded away, the crowd erupted in applause, knowing they had experienced something truly special.
BLACK PUMAS
It was a little after 9 PM when the music at the venue stopped and lights were turned off… it was time for the main show of the night, the Black Pumas were in the house!
The band consists of singer/songwriter Eric Burton and guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada, who together with other great musicians and vocal chorus delivered an impressive show!
Their show literally started on “Fire” which was the first song on their setlist, followed by “Gemini Sun (You Look So Good)” and “Know You Better.”
From the moment they took the stage, the atmosphere crackled with anticipation. Lead singer Eric Burton’s velvety voice soared over the crowd, mesmerizing listeners with its raw emotion and captivating charm, and the band’s tight-knit instrumentation created a rich tapestry of sound, blending elements of soul, funk, and psychedelic rock into a seamless sonic landscape.
The emotions during the show were incredible and palpable all over the venue, to the point singer Eric in a moment of excitement jumped into the crowd!
For those assisting their second show tonight, get ready for a real treat! You’re going to love it!
