A night of passionate delivery and soulful singing!

Last night we had the opportunity to cover an incredible show…! Mon Laferte brought the ‘Autopoiética‘ tour to the Moody Amphitheatre in Austin, Texas and dear friends, it was awesome!

Even though the weather was threatening severe storms, to the point that the opening act Ximena Sariñana had to cancel her show, by the time Mon Laferte was scheduled to perform, the sky cleared, and we were all able to enjoy her show.

The Show

It was a little bit before 9:00 PM when the show started with a short video of Mon Laferte sharing old videos of her youth and a brief explanation of her journey in music.

The notes of “Tenochtitlán” with a straight drum beat started right after the video and there she was, the Chilean/Mexican artist in front of thousands of fans who gathered to see her performing live. The screams and cheers were loud! She looked amazing and was clearly happy with that kind of welcome.

The “Autopoiética” tour was an unforgettable musical journey that captivated the audience from start to finish. Held on a magical night, the show was a testament to Laferte’s extraordinary talent and magnetic stage presence. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, she exuded an infectious energy that had everyone on their feet, dancing and singing along.

Austin, the first place in the USA where she sang

Laferte’s setlist was a perfect blend of her greatest hits and new tracks, each song delivered with impeccable artistry and raw emotion. Her powerful voice resonated through the Moody Amphitheater, leaving the crowd in ecstasy with every note. Fans didn’t stop singing, and it was great to see how much they adore her. “Te Juro Que Volveré”, “Obra De Dios”, “Autopoiética” were some of the first songs she delivered, but when the notes of “Mi Buen Amor” started, the whole crowd erupted with excitement.

The night continued with great songs, choreographies, and fun dances on stage. There was a moment when some fans were invited to dance with Mon Laferte. They were wearing similar outfits to the ones the singer has used in the past.

Between songs, she took the mic to thank everyone who had been with her since the beginning and mentioned the first time she sang in the US was during a SXSW edition many years ago. She was living in Mexico City, and they put all the instruments on top of a car, drove from Mexico to Austin, and played at a small bar. She asked if anyone from the crowd was there and many lifted their hands to what she said “Yeah right, now everyone was there” while laughing.

The stage design was equally mesmerizing, with vibrant visuals and dynamic lighting that complemented Laferte’s eclectic style. Her band was top-notch, providing a rich musical backdrop that enhanced her performance.

Mon Laferte also connected with the audience on a personal level, sharing anecdotes and expressing gratitude, which added an intimate touch to the grand spectacle. The “Autopoiética” tour was not just a concert; it was an emotional and electrifying experience that left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to attend.
